Card Heatpipe improves upon Zalman's revolutionary product
(Zalman's original video heatpipe, the ZM80A-HP).
With the Zalman ZM80C-HP, Zalman has outdone
itself. This quiet video heatpipe responds to a need for
even greater cooling with a design that accomodates a noiseless
fan (ZM-OP1) on its heatsink. Also, Zalman has cut down
on the weight of this heatsink. The ZM80C-HP weighs in at
325g compared to 400g for the ZM80A-HP. While special care
should still be taken when moving a computer with the heatsink
attached, at 325g it is a much more stable setup than the
400g ZM80A-HP. Yet this new model of Zalman's video card
heatpipe (ZM80C-HP) cools just as well as the older model
(ZM80A-HP) - even better with the addition of the ZM-OP1
quiet video heatpipe fan. With the use of the ZM-OP1 this
video card heatpipe can cool even the NVIDIA GeForce FX5800
or higher model, the Matrox Parhelia, and the Radeon 9800
Pro.

fanless heatsink for a GPU (Video Chipset) uses a heatpipe
to increase the video card heatsink's cooling efficiency.
Zalman's Silent Video Card Heatpipe (ZM80C-HP) is a completely
quiet (fanless) alternative to your high-end video card
fan. Since the video heatpipe does not use any moving parts,
the heatpipe ensures complete noiselessness and permanent,
maintenance-free operation.

Limitations:

If used with NVIDIA GeForce FX5800
or higher model, or Matrox Parhelia, the ZM-OP1 must
be used.

If used with the ATI Radeon 9800
Pro, the ZM-OP1 is recommended.

If the components on the video card
interfere in any way with the heatsink components, you
cannot use this heatsink.

moving the computer when the heatpipe is installed.

The video card that has this product
installed will take up a PCI slot next to the AGP slot.
Does the ZM80C-HP work the same
as the ZM80A-HP? Yes it does. The ZM80C-HP is an
almost identical design to the ZM80A-HP. Just like the ZM80A-HP,
it is highly compatible with a huge array of video cards.
Like the ZM80A-HP, this heatpipe (the ZM80C-HP) does require
that the video card have heatsink mounting holes (an extremely
common feature of video cards).
